Giant Yellowtail caught on the VAGABOND
James Stubblefield of Mission Viejo landed the largest yellowtail of the year, a 74-pound mossback from Guadalupe Island. James said the giant critter ate a sardine pinned to an Owner 2/0 ringed Gorilla hook with 40-pound Seaguar Premier fluorocarbon. Pictured here are James Stubblefield, Capt. Mike Lackey’s 80-foot Vagabond, came home with the biggest yellowfin tuna ever caught by a sport angler on hook and line. That’s what happened December 6, when the 405.2-pound tuna caught by Mike Livingston was hoisted on the certified scales at Pt. Loma Sportfishing. Pictured from left to right are - Jim Pea (334.8#), Mike Livingston (405.2#) and Steve Meinster (324.4#) with their trophy size Yellowfin Tuna.

Vagabond Jackpot winners - Sept 11 to 15, 2010 4 day trip. San Kolb of San Diego won first place with a 31-pound yellowtail. Gene Lage of Atlanta took second place with a 29.4-pound yellowtail, and Ed Corrion of San Diego won third place with his 29.2-pound Yellowtail.
